October 2010: Around 50,000 year 7 students signed up to receive free copies of Invisible City via from BOOKED UP.The first book of THE JOSHUA FILES, ‘Invisible City’, as well as 18 other children’s books were available for FREE to all Yr 7s in UK secondary schools, thanks to the BOOKED UP scheme run by the BookTrust.
Students can also use the website to read an extract or to watch a video of each author talking about their book.
Each school that registered will receive a special package from the BookTrust, containing a copy of every book on the list, as well as a DVD, leaflets, bookmarks, posters designed to help Yr 7s choose a book.
